Initiated in February 2020, Station of Commons investigates the possibilities of reappropriating technology within public space. The point of departure of the research questions both centralized knowledge and data centers operated by major organizations and its underlying social implications. Station of Commons operates as an easily integrable online platform for sharing local resources.

working on the spring calender of lumbung radio at the ruruHaus

while visiting the local radio station Freies Radio Kassel the local news in Turkish were on air

Gregoire Rousseau and Minerva Juolati from Station of Commons visiting Kassel in April 2022 to work on the lumbung Radio. During their stay, they visited Freies Radio Kassel to discuss the collaboration between Freies radio and lumbung Radio. On April 12th, they streamed in the lumbung Radio the public presentation of The Old Boys Network (OBN) archive that is going to be part of the documenta archive!

LIVE STREAMING – The Old Boys Network: The directive is the archive

streaming live on the lumbung radio straight from ruruHaus on Tuesday April 12th, 2022

The Old Boys Network (OBN) described itself as "the first international cyberfeminist alliance". Founded in 1997 as part of documenta X's Hybrid Workspace, the network was active until 2001. OBN's concern was to "provide a context for various artistic, theoretical and political formulations related to cyberfeminism. At times enigmatic, at times transparent, OBN sets an agenda for communication, intervention and production" (www.obn.org).

______The aim of the obn_archive project is to process, archive and digitise this history of the connection between feminism and technology. The guiding principles are based on the structure and ideas that OBN itself proposed: "the mode is the message - the code is the collective."

______Initiated by Nora Sternfeld and realised by Carina Herring, Malin Kuht and Julia Stolba together with the artist Cornelia Sollfrank, the obn_archiv was developed and implemented as part of the documenta studies at the Kunsthochschule Kassel from August 2020 to April 2022 and in close cooperation with the documenta archiv. The focus of the process was on the sifting, indexing and digitisation of the materials as well as on reflection and updating through collective polyphony.

______We are very pleased to be able to present the obn_archive to the public at the ruruHaus on 12 April 2022 from 17:00 to 19:00. This will be followed by the opening of the sound installation networking-knot working-notworking? by Catwings (with Steph Joyce and Theresa Zwerschke) at Stellwerk Kassel from 19:30, which will activate the obn_archive.

______The event will take place in English and is supported by Lumbung Radio of the d15/ Station of Commons. With many thanks to Jelena Toopeekoff and Sarah Metz.

______obn_archive is part of the project Art Research Practice documenta. Artistic and Curatorial Research at the documenta Institute of the Kunsthochschule Kassel, which is funded by the Hessian Ministry of Science and the Arts from 2020 until the end of 2022.

Later during the day the performance "Blcak Quatum Futurism" from the bank of the river Fulda.

"The Clepsydra Stage (2022) is an interactive installation on the banks of the river Fulda. An abstracted water clock, consisting of three entangled circles, serves as a hub for memories, visions, and stories. Two of the circular elements that make up the stage construction are set in motion by the water. Different experiences of space and time as well as identities meet; the personal always intersects with the universal."
