Hugenottenhaus
Hugenottenhaus Kassel
House of art and culture
Since 2019, the artist couple Silvia and Lutz Freyer, with significant support from Udo Wendland, have been managing the Hugenottenhaus with the Kunstzone in the center of Kassel. In addition, Maren Freyer's Café/Bar Perle is an essential part of the art and culture venue as a place of communication.
The exhibition project erste hilfe : first aid as part of documenta 2022
With erste hilfe : first aid, visitors can expect an exhibition project that is characterized by networking and collaboration, trust in art and its effectiveness. Guided tours through the exhibition allow for an exchange of perceptions and surprising insights. Visitor offerings allow people of all ages to become participants.
Each of the more than 20 rooms in the Hugenottenhaus represents a special feature, since most of the works are created directly for the exhibition. Exciting positions lead us to expect an unusual exhibition. In addition to the individual art rooms, there will again be offerings for interested visitors this year:
One highlight is the visitor action 100 people 100 days, initiated by Lutz Freyer:
On each day of the exhibition, which opens parallel to the documenta (only closed on Monday and Tuesday), one person is invited to tell about his or her experience in terms of first aid.
In the meantime, a non-profit company has been founded, the Hugenottenhaus gGmbH, which also collects donations for the project.
